The Vika igloo bears the name of the wild ground stretching from the fjord to the mountaintops behind. It's a cozy, secluded retreat just a stone's throw from the shore, offering a unique and intimate connection to the Arctic fjord. Rammstein is a big boulder just next to the coastline on your way into the fjord towards the glacier. This boulder has been used as a reference point for people travelling to the glacier by boat for decades. Huldrestein is a vast boulder located in the forest just 500 meters northeast of here. According to local lore, it’s the dwelling of Huldra, a mythical creature who takes the form of a stunning woman with only her tail revealing her true nature. Known to wander the woods, she is said to lure lost children and men into her hidden home, from which they may never return. Located just below a small hill, this igloo is higher than the others, providing a feeling of seclusion along with breathtaking views of the fjord.

The Skalsatind double-igloo takes its name from the majestic Skalsatind mountain it overlooks. In recent years, professional skiers have competed to become the first to reach Skalsatind’s forbidding, volcano-shaped peak, but none have yet succeeded.
