Huldrestein
Huldrestein is a vast boulder located in the forest just 500 meters northeast of here. According to local lore, it’s the dwelling of Huldra, a mythical creature who takes the form of a stunning woman with only her tail revealing her true nature. Known to wander the woods, she is said to lure lost children and men into her hidden home, from which they may never return.
Located just below a small hill, this igloo is higher than the others, providing a feeling of seclusion along with breathtaking views of the fjord.
Styled with ice-and stone-themed interior, the Huldrestein igloo is furnished with comfortable rocking chairs, a stylish lamp, rustic wooden table table, and bedside tables. The large ensuite-bathroom offers direct views of the glacier, and a convenient walk-in closet. The private jacuzzi on the spacious terrace is perfect for star gazing or even catching a glimpse of the Northern Lights.
For a restful night’s sleep, we’ve fitted the igloo with high-quality Odel beds and soft goose-down duvets. For heating and cooling, the igloo has electrical and underfloor heating, a wood-burning stove for a cozy atmosphere, and air conditioning, keeping you comfortable throughout all seasons.
