Skalsatind
The Skalsatind double-igloo takes its name from the majestic Skalsatind mountain it overlooks. In recent years, professional skiers have competed to become the first to reach Skalsatind’s forbidding, volcano-shaped peak, but none have yet succeeded.
The double-domes rise gently from the tundra, connected by a mirror-walled corridor that – quite literally – blends into the landscape. Skalsatind provides a best-in-class igloo experience, with 140 m² (1,507 sq. ft.) of living space divided between an ensuite sleeping dome and a stylish Arctic lounge with an extra guest WC.
The interiors have been carefully crafted in glacial white-and-blue to reflect the beauty of their Arctic surroundings. From the king-size Odel bed with goose down duvets to the reclining chairs by the panoramic windows, the entire structure showcases the finest in nature-inspired Nordic design.
For heating and cooling, the igloo has electrical and underfloor heating, a wood-burning stove for a cozy atmosphere, and air conditioning, keeping you comfortable throughout all seasons.
The ensuite bathroom contains a shower and double sink vanity, whilst a spacious private jacuzzi stands on the terrace beneath the open sky, with direct views towards Skalsatind mountain.
